Royalty Athletics is proud to offer a wide variety of classes including tumbling,flyers flexibility and strength training, co-ed stunting, and jumps in our gym located in Vancouver, WA. These classes are a great way to build self confidence, body control, and physical fitness. We offer a variety of classes for children ages 3 and up, ranging from very basic to advanced skill levels.
Work with our amazing staff of former all star and collegiate cheerleaders, along with several gymnastics coaches, to learn the skills necessary to progress to the next level! Our cheer & tumbling coaches are USASF Certified.
ONE CLASS Choose any one class. (One class per week) Monthly rate $72
TWO CLASSES Choose any two classes. (Each class once per week) Monthly rate $121
BEGINNER TUMBLING (LEVEL 1 & 2)
Perfect for anyone ready to learn how to tumble! We divide our beginner classes up by age groups so that each group can get the most out of their class. This class teaches:
- Forward rolls & backward rolls
- round offs rebound
- bridge downs
- bridge kick overs
- front/back walkovers
- back handsprings
- round off back handsprings
INTERMEDIATE TUMBLING (LEVEL 3)
Intermediate tumbling starts to focus on the next skill progressions up from beginner tumbling. You should take intermediate tumbling if you have been in a tumbling class before, and can do all the skills listed in the beginner tumbling class description. This class teaches:
- Back walkover back handsprings
- Back handspring series
- Back handspring tucks
- Round off bhs series
- standing tuck
- round off tuck
- round off bhs tuck
ADVANCED TUMBLING (LEVEL 4 & UP)
Advanced tumbling focuses on advanced tumbling and linking skills together for strong tumbling passes. You should take advanced tumbling if you can do all the skills listed on the beginner and intermediate tumbling lists. This class teaches:
- toe touch tuck
- combo to tuck series
- back handspring to layout & series
- standing & running full & full series
- double full
- whip passes
SPECIALTY & STUNT CLASSES
Master the progression of flying skills until they can be executed safely and properly in our Stunting Class! This class features beginner to advanced level stunting for guys and girls wanting to gain confidence in the air, and perfect body positions. Athletes will work on the proper body positions as well as level appropriate load ins and dismounts.
- STRETCH ~ FLEXIBILITY ~ JUMPS*
Stretching and flexibility are not only beneficial for jumps and flight, they also reduce the overall risk of injury for all star athletes as well as athletes in our tumbling classes. In this class athletes will learn proper techniques of stretching the right, left, and middle splits, proper back flexibility, and proper shoulder flexibility. Jumps within cheerleading routines are crucial. Our instructors will train proper arm and leg placement to perform each jump successfully and correctly. Athletes will learn Toe touch, Pike Jump, Hurdlers, Combination Jumps, and Jumps into Tumbling.This class is perfect for current and aspiring competition cheerleaders! Ages 5 and up are welcome!
TODDLERS MOMMY OR DADDY AND ME TIME
This class is a fun way to introduce your child to the world of cheerleading and tumbling teaching basic stretching and tumbling skills. In these fun classes, Mom (Dan or Grandparents) will help the child with front rolls, stretching, splits and other exercises. Coaches will introduce children to the trampoline, teaching bouncing skills and building leg muscles that cheerleaders will need later on to perform jumps and flips. Many of the things learned in these classes can be repeated at home to strengthen skills and ability even more. Ages 18 months to 3 years old.
Our TIny's cheer class is designed for girls and boys ages 3-5, and focuses on providing a fun educational experience for young athletes. This program introduces each little cheerleader to all aspects of cheer & tumbling and will prepare them for the future movement into one of our higher level cheer & tumbling classes or teams. Your athlete will be taught proper stretching technique and these specific skills:
- Forward rolls
- Backward rolls
- Handstand Forward rolls
- Left and right side cartwheels
- Round off Rebound
- Bridge Up
- Bridge Down
and an understanding of the Back Bend Kick Over as well as get an introduction to various cheer motions.
